AmeriCorps Alums Announces 2012 National AmeriCorps Week Grantees
The theme for this year’s AmeriCorps Week (March 10-18th) is AmeriCorps Works, communicating the value and effectiveness of AmeriCorps while providing flexibility to be used in many different contexts.
It provides an overarching framework to communicate AmeriCorps triple bottom line return on investment — for the recipients of service, the people who serve, and the larger community and nation.
This year, we received great and diverse applications from our chapters across the country. We are offering 8 grants, valued at $750, to our chapters who are celebrating AmeriCorps Week with service, social, and “Life After AmeriCorps” events to show how AmeriCorps Works in their communities. The grant will help in the planning, execution, and implementation of their week long events.
Make sure you register at AmeriCorpsAlums.org to join one of the 8 grantee chapters to partake in their AmerCorps Week events!
